The Premier League Manager of the Season Awards are given towards the end of the season to the manager with the most outstanding record.
It usually goes to the manager of the title-winning team but there have been five exceptions, firstly with Ipswich Town’s George Burley in 2000-01, Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Redknapp in 2009-10, Newcastle United’s Alan Pardew in 2011-12, Crystal Palace’s Tony Pulis in 2013-14 and Jurgen Klopp in 2021-22.
The manager who won the Premier League Manager of the Year the most times is Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson who won the award 11 times.
